How we spent our summer vacation

We're settling back into work/life after being at home for a few weeks. Scott's mom is coming this weekend for a week and the week after that Scott leaves for NTC. School will be starting up again soon so I'll be back to going to work everyday. We had a lot of fun while we were back in good 'ole St.L and the next visit will hopefully be Christmas.

Field Trip!

Scott had a 4 day weekend and so we went over to Kauai to explore for a few days. While the island is certainly more untouched than where we live, we lived it up by staying at the Mariott. It was a great weekend and we took a lot of pictures. I think I need to join Photographers Anonymous after taking at least 1 (usually more) of everything we saw. Luckily, I've spared you from most of our pictures, but as always it was hard to choose which ones to share! Although we weren't home for Easter, the weekend was still a success.

Here are a few more pictures from the week Scott's dad and Sue were here per a viewer request. There isn't much else new going on -- Scott returns from Seattle this Saturday and Emily comes the same day to hang out with us during her spring break, which we're looking forward to.

A few more...and one week!

We've been busy lately and haven't been posting much. Here are a few more from Thanksgiving...so many pictures were taken its hard to choose which ones to share! Now, we're looking forward to being home for Christmas in just one week....it'll be a great time with lots of things to do, people to see and places to go! We're going to try and bring the warm and sunny weather with us, but no promises!

Hoyt Invasion

Thanksgiving was celebrated with all immediate Hoyt's in Hawaii. We kayaked, spent time on the beach, saw some surfing/turtles and ate at a few good restaurants.
